1. Apologies:  Nas, John L.

2. Approval of last year minutes: unanimous  (8-0; before Liem has arrived)

3. Short report from the chair: FNF today, what we are up against, branch changes of secretary, chair, 
    both of whom stand down.
    
    Personally, it's been a privilege to serve the branch for more years than most wish to remember 
    and I hope the branch goes forward and remains strong and able to assists it's current and new/future 
    members.

4. Treasurer (Glyn's) report: finance is steady, mostly at the same level of last year, plus small (c.50 
    pounds) addition from our own contributions throughout the year (the "empty" collection mug). 
    On 31.3.2017 we had 576.85 pounds in our account. The sum increased by 5 pounds to date.

5.  Alain described some of the duties required from the branch secretary: attendance keeping, 
     phone help line, communication with head office, minutes of AGMs. 

     Presence of experienced people at meetings can be shared between several individuals.

6. Officers resign.

    Meeting temporarily chaired by Tim Griffith. Election of new officers - unanimous (9-0)

    a)  Will Loyal - new chair;
    b)  Nas - to undertake some of the secretarial duties;
    c)  John L. - willing to help with branch duties.

   Alain will continue to host the chat, senate and help mail lists. The rarely used archive will be turned off. 
   The Family Law Wiki will also be turned off - nobody volunteered to maintain it and some of the 
   advice there is old. Out of date advice is worse than none.

   Alain rightfully won a round of applause for his years of branch service.
